June is Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) awareness month. AMC is a rare disease in newborns resulting in decreased flexibility of the joints. There is no single cause for AMC, but one known factor is “fetal akinesia” which is decreased fetal movement in utero. The most common form of the condition is Amyoplasia. Join us this month in spreading awareness by taking a moment to learn about the condition and teaching someone else who may not be aware. 💙
