πŸ’™ Making a Difference for Manatees! πŸ’™
This year, our AVID 6th and 7th grade students participated in an Everglades Action Project focused on protecting manatees and reducing human impacts on their habitat.
Students created educational placemats and brochures to help spread awareness about simple ways we can all keep manatees safe. They also developed Manatee Protection Pledges for both children and adults, with QR codes making it easy for community members and visitors to get involved.
So far, 134 pledges have been signed! πŸŽ‰
You can join them! Scan the QR code in the photo below to sign the pledge and help protect manatees for future generations.
A special thank you to Vital Signs for supporting KLS by generously donating the printing of our brochures. We are so proud of our students for turning their learning into action and making a positive impact in our community!πŸŒŽπŸ’š

πŸ›οΈπŸ’΅ Our Power Dollar Store Was a Huge Success! πŸ’΅πŸ›οΈ
Last week, students had the opportunity to cash in their hard-earned Power Dollars at our end-of-the-year Power Dollar Store!
Throughout the school year, students earned Power Dollars by demonstrating positive behavior, making good choices, working hard, and showing our school expectations. The Power Dollar Store gave them a chance to spend their earnings on a variety of fun prizes and rewards.
It was exciting to see students enjoying the results of their hard work and dedication. Events like these help reinforce the positive behaviors that contribute to a successful school community.
A big thank you to our staff, families, and students for making this year's Power Dollar program a success. We are proud of all our students and look forward to continuing to celebrate their achievements next school year!
🌟 Keep up the great work, and have a wonderful summer! 🌟
