This past weekend we "fell back" as Daylight Saving Time ends - and that means it's time to change your smoke detector batteries!

The Key Largo Firefighters Benevolent reminds all residents: when you change your clocks, change your batteries. This simple step takes just a few minutes but could save your life and the lives of your loved ones.

✅ Replace batteries in all smoke detectors

✅ Test each alarm after changing batteries

✅ Replace any detectors older than 10 years

Working smoke detectors reduce the risk of dying in a fire by 50%. Don't wait until it's too late.
