A big thank you to our local VFW for their generous donation of 2,000 Child ID Kits to the Kettering Police Department!
These kits allow parents to record important identifying information about their children, including photographs, fingerprints, physical characteristics, and emergency contact information. The kits are designed to be completed at home and kept by the family, providing valuable information that can be immediately shared with law enforcement if a child ever goes missing.
We are grateful for the VFW’s continued support of our community and their commitment to helping keep our children safe. We plan to have these kits available at our community events.

We are wishing a huge congratulations to Dispatcher Stephanie Hall on being selected as a member of the Ohio Telecommunicator Emergency Response Task Force (TERT)!
TERT is a highly specialized team of emergency communications professionals who can be deployed to assist communities when local dispatch centers are overwhelmed by critical incidents, natural disasters, or other emergencies. These telecommunicators provide vital support to ensure emergency calls continue to be answered and first responders remain connected when communities need them most.
Selection to Ohio TERT is a significant achievement and reflects Stephanie’s professionalism, expertise, and commitment to public safety. As a member of the team, she will have the opportunity to assist agencies across the state during times of crisis while bringing valuable training and experience back to our own communications center.
Please join us in congratulating her on this outstanding accomplishment!
