Q. Who are you?
A. My name is Conner Brown. I’m a natural Classic Physique competitor and work full-time at Coilplus. Outside of training, I enjoy hiking, visiting comic shops, trying new foods, spending time with my cat, and going to the movies. I was raised in Piqua, Ohio by my parents, BJ and Leah Brown, who have always supported my goals.
Q. How long have you been bodybuilding and what got you started?
A. I’ve been bodybuilding for about five years and weightlifting for seven. My journey started through football and basketball, but I discovered bodybuilding at 17 and quickly fell in love with the challenge. Not long after, I stepped on stage for my first competition in Vandalia.
Q. What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?
A. My biggest accomplishment so far was placing 3rd in my first bodybuilding competition. I’m also proud of my current prep, which I’ve been self-coaching from start to finish.
Q. What are your goals for the next 12 months?
A. I plan to compete 2-3 times, continue building during a productive growth season, pursue a career in firefighting, and hopefully get a little more sleep along the way.
Q. What does being a Move Better sponsored athlete mean to you?
A. Being sponsored by Move Better as my first sponsor means a lot to me. The community they’ve built is inspiring, and everyone involved shares the mindset of becoming better than they were yesterday. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to continue growing alongside a team that values hard work and improvement.

This recovery day is reserved exclusively for our sponsored athletes. This includes those who have not been announced yet as well. 💪

Whether you’re preparing for a competition, recovering from training, or simply need some extra bodywork, we’d love to help keep you moving and performing at your best.

Having trouble opening up your front lat spread?

Weak lower traps, poor scapular control, and limited thoracic mobility can all make it difficult to fully display your physique.

Try these 3 exercises:
• Wall Slides + Lift Off — 2 sets of 8-12 reps
• Trap 3 Raises — 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps
• Scapular Pull-Ups — 2-3 sets of 6-10 reps

Focus on quality movement and control rather than heavy resistance.

Athletes, bodybuilders, and lifters often see improvements in posture, shoulder mechanics, and posing control when these areas are addressed consistently.

At Move Better Massage Therapy, we work with bodybuilders, powerlifters, wrestlers, MMA fighters, and athletes throughout the Dayton area to improve mobility, recovery, and performance.

Back to work with Chip as he prepares to defend his belt at Shipyard Showdown 2 in Celina, Ohio on May 30th. 💪

Fight camps put a ton of stress on the body between striking, conditioning, recovery, and overall training volume. Sessions like this are focused on helping keep the body moving well, managing tightness, and keeping recovery a priority leading into competition.

This session included Sports & Medical Massage along with recovery focused cupping work for the upper body and shoulders.

Blessed to work with local fighters and athletes who trust our team throughout training camp and competition prep.
