Tomorrow is Palm Sunday - a day the church gathers to reflect on Jesus entering Jerusalem with the anticipation of His own crucifixion on the horizon. It is important to understand the moment in the context it would have been experienced in, not how we have sanitized it 2000-some-odd years later. This was not a joyous parade...it was a politically and religiously charged mob - and we must wrestle with that, and what that means for Jesus-people today.
