📚 NEW Picturebook Spotlight: The Yellow Bus 🎨
Author and Illustrator: Loren Long
Publisher: Roaring Brook Press (2024)
Age: Picturebook (0-8)
🚌 Experience the life of a yellow school bus, from her early days carrying kids around to her later years when she’s been all but forgotten.📖

🌟 Key highlights:
🐟 Bright spots of yellow amidst a gray landscape
🐠 A charmingly relatable anthropomorphized Yellow Bus
🐡 Adorable goats!

🗣️ Reviewer Jessica Wise says: The Yellow Bus fades with time and use. But as she decays, she also grows and learns to accept and adapt with the change of time. Perhaps people should learn to be more like the Yellow Bus.

🐐Time comes for everyone, but readers can learn from a Yellow Bus on how to handle change and decay with grace and dignity.

📚 NEW Picturebook Spotlight: Nana in the Country 🧓🏻
Author and Illustrator: Lauren Castillo
Publisher: Clarion Books, and imprint of HarperCollins (2024)
Age: Picturebook (0-8)
🏡 When Nana comes to the country from the city, her grandson is so excited to show her what country life's all about! But Nana seems to already know everything about country life. 📖

🌟 Key highlights:
🐑 Cozy illustrations that feel nostalgic
🐑 Wide open pages that emulate the feel of country life
🐑 A young boy’s moment of courage

🗣️ Reviewer Jessica Wise says: These moments of joy in a child’s life, when they go from being solely a learner to someone who can be the teacher are part of the self-actualization of a child, and it’s important for adults to help foster this.

🧑‍🌾This book captures the moment in a child’s life when they go from being only a learner to a teacher for the first time.
