How's everyone doing today? We are in the office with regular business hours taking care of acute care, as well as auto and work injuries. If you know someone who has been in an accident and is not sure where to go, tell them to call us. I can discuss their case over the phone and determine if it is something we can help with. If we can't help, I will help find the proper referral. We are screening all potential new patients for any symptoms that may not allow for an immediate appointment, (fever, recent cough, tiredness, difficulty breathing, etc.). We are here to help during this difficult time. Stay safe, everyone!

The Ultimate 'Deskercise' Routine: Stretches for the Office 04/01/2020

Anyone that is having trouble with working from home, here is a link to some stretches that you can do throughout the day. I looked through a number of sites and I liked this one because the images give you an idea of the motion involved. One thing to add is standing periodically throughout your day to stretch is also quite beneficial as well as getting up to go for a short walk. Also, your chair may not allow for some of these stretches, so try and get creative and modify if needed. If anyone has questions about any of these stretches or possible modifications for your needs, you can email me directly at [email protected] . Yes, I am in the office treating patients today and I am happy to help. Stretching and movement will help to minimize your stress levels, which we could all use right now. There are more people than ever working from home right now. More than likely your work station is your couch or kitchen table or even your bed. How's that working for you? Without having a work station that is ergonomically correct for you, it is very difficult to keep postural stress from causing neck and back pain. Make sure you are getting up and stretching every 30 minutes, if possible. This will help to break the pattern of whatever position you are in. Let's hope you can get back to your regular work station soon, but, remember to make stretching a part of your daily routine.
