A CALL TO ACTION: OPPOSITION PARTIES, SHOW US YOUR MANIFESTOS OR PLAN!
=========================
October 5th, 2025

As Zambia approaches the upcoming elections, it's essential that opposition parties provide clear and concise manifestos outlining their vision, plans, and solutions to the pressing issues facing our nation.

For too long, opposition parties have focused on critiquing the ruling party's actions without articulating their own solutions. This approach may garner temporary attention, but it doesn't provide voters with the information they need to make informed decisions.

We, the Zambian people, deserve better. We deserve to know how our potential leaders plan to address the challenges we face. We deserve to see a clear vision for our country's future.

Therefore, we're calling on all opposition parties, including those led by Hon. Binwell Mpundu, Harry Kalaba, Fred Mmembe, Kelvin Fube Bwalya, and others, to produce their manifestos and share them with the nation.

We want to know:

1. How will you mitigate power outages and ensure a reliable energy supply?

2. What's your plan for revitalizing the agricultural sector, which is the backbone of our economy?

3. How will you address the state of our road networks, including maintenance and expansion?

4. What strategies will you employ to counter the rural-urban drift and promote economic development in rural areas?

5. How will you tackle youth unemployment and provide opportunities for our young people?

6. What's your stance on freedom of expression and cyber laws? Will you continue with the current law, or do you intend to repeal it? If so, how will you ensure that internet users are protected from bullying, scams, and fraud?

7. How do you plan to manage the mining sector, particularly in situations like the recent gold rush in Mufumbwe, which resulted in conflicts between youths and police?

8. What's your solution to the challenges facing the health sector, given the growing population and pressure on current infrastructure and manpower?

9. Will you consider investing in a referendum to amend the constitution, ensuring that the laws passed are unbiased and stand the test of time?

By providing clear and concise answers to these questions, opposition parties will demonstrate their commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing Zambia.

A well-articulated manifesto is essential for voters to make informed decisions. It's time for opposition parties to put their plans on the table and show us how they intend to lead our country forward.

We look forward to reading your manifestos and engaging in constructive discussions about the future of our beloved Zambia.

Yours sincerely
