'It was a team effort': Walla Walla County first responders train at mass casualty drill Walla Walla Fire District No. 4 and several other agencies took part in a mass casualty incident training session at the Walla Walla Regional Airport on Monday, May 12.

Congratulations students and House Bill 1414! This bill will improve career opportunities for skills center students. And THANK YOU Mr. Allington for 10 years of commitment to attain this goal.

It's apparent that Mr. Allington's support group is quite large! Thank you to everyone who attended last night's award ceremony.

Celebrating Excellence: Nathen Allington, 2025 Crystal Apple Award Winner

Kennewick School District is proud to recognize Mr. Allington of Tri-Tech Skills Center as the 2025 Crystal Apple Award recipient. A former U.S. Marine, Mr. Allington has dedicated over a decade to preparing students for careers in firefighting and emergency medical services, providing mentorship and leadership that extends beyond the classroom.

He will be honored at the Crystal Apple Award ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on March 20 at Educational Service District 123 in Pasco. The public is invited to attend.

Instructor Nathen Allington Honored with 2024 KSD High School Teacher of the Year Award!

Congratulations to Nathen Allington, this year’s High School Teacher of the Year! Nathen’s lifelong passion for service began with a tour in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he has continued to dedicate himself to helping others ever since. As a County-Benton Fire Dist Number 1 Firefighter and the lead instructor for Tri-Tech Skills Center's Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services program, Nathen tirelessly prepares students for future careers, often coordinating night and weekend field trips to provide real-world learning experiences.
