Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, remembrance, and the ongoing work of equality.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 20, the community is invited to continue the celebration in the Borough of Kennett Square with two free events:

Join us from 10 am to 3 pm for the Kennett Square Juneteenth Jubilee at Kennett Library. Bring family and friends for a day filled with enlightening activities, inspiring speakers, and joyous festivities that pay tribute to freedom and equality.

Then keep the celebration going tomorrow evening at the Kennett Flash Rooftop Concert featuring The Roots Revival Roadshow with Sug Daniels, Antar Goodwin, Melvin McKnight, and Ash Phillips. This dynamic traveling collective celebrates the rich tapestry of African American music with a sound rooted in blues, folk, rock, and soul.

The concert will take place on the top floor of the parking garage on E Linden Street from 7–9 pm. Seating starts at 6 pm. Bring your own chair.
