SCCSFA hosts local boy scouts

The SCCSFA was proud to welcome Boy Scout Troop 191 of Avondale to our facilities for a weekend of outdoor education, skill-building, and camping activities.

From March 20 through March 22, Troop 191 held a weekend campout at our campground. The group included scouts ranging in age from 11 to 17 years old, along with their adult leaders and parents.

During their stay, the Association provided several hands-on activities, including archery at our indoor range, target shooting at the range used by our Junior Rifle Program, and trap shooting at one of our two trap fields.

SCCSFA also supplied all necessary equipment, along with certified instructors and Range Safety Officers, to ensure a safe and educational experience for everyone involved.

The scouts and their leaders are always appreciative and consistently express how delighted they are with the facilities and activities offered by the Association.

We are honored to support local youth organizations and provide opportunities for learning, teamwork, and outdoor recreation.

Thanks to everyone that came out and helped stocked our pond a couple weeks ago, today's Kids Trout Rodeo which coincides with Mentored Youth Trout Day was a great time!!

A great day for the outdoors! Today the club is filled with roughly 70 participants for a USPSA event and the local Boyscout Troop 191 from Avondale.
