We're so excited to welcome the community to see what we've been up to at The Francis Hotel & Suites! Come by on March 11 from 5-7pm at 205 S Union to see the thoughtful renovations and design to turn this historic home into a boutique hotel that celebrates Kennett history!

It's a privilege for the SRC team to work alongside Mike Bontrager toward his vision of a local community where everyone can thrive. Thanks to Joseph N. DiStefano for visiting our office and learning more about what drives this work.

When asked about solving issues in concert, Mike said, "Collaboration, trust, working together. ... [We say,] 'Let's understand people's concerns. We're neighbors.'"

The community steering committee consisting of Kennett Square residents and representatives from Square Roots Collective, Borough of Kennett Square, Kennett Collaborative, and Casa Guanajuato Kennett Square is in the process of reviewing the ideas and building a ballot for a community vote.

Stay tuned for your chance to vote in 2026! Each voter will have the opportunity to indicate their preferences on how to allocate the $100,000 to support the projects they care about.
