Had the opportunity to go to a private event at Texas Gun Experience (TGE) this past week and shoot a variety of pistols, rifles, and full auto fi****ms. They had multiple people helping us out and the ammo was all included. What an awesome setup with the private range, the dedicated training rooms, and the outdoor patio where Hard 8 was catered. Highly recommend an event here if you are a company and want to sponsor something different! Rifles were primarily Daniel Defense, but there was also a Springfield Saint. Pistols were Sig and G***k. Full auto was an HK416 and a Scar 17. Tons of fun!!!

Looking forward to the weekend. Not one, but two free range days!!!! Whoop whoop!!!! Gritr is hosting Sig Sauer on Saturday for some pistol demos and Seekins precision will be hosted by .38 America for some rifle action on Sunday!

Went to a historical Appleseed event this past weekend on April 19th. It was both the 250th anniversary of Lexington and Concord and Project Appleseed’s 20th. It was my first Appleseed with rain. There’s nothing quite like laying face-down with a rifle in the pouring rain. We manned-up and enjoyed our day. For our perseverance we got an awesome t-shirt and special patch. If you haven’t checked out an Appleseed event I highly recommend them to hone your marksmanship skills and challenge yourself to achieve the coveted rifleman or pistoleer patches. Including some pics (note one is the completely disassembled rifles parts soaking to remove the rust and clean them back up).

We made it up to Tulsa this weekend for the largest gun show in the world. Even with a rocky start for an event (Pouring rain with 27 deg windchill) the show still had heavy turnout. We had to wait for 10 min or so out, exposed to the pouring, chilly rain and wind. Over 4,000 tables of merch and aisles so packed you could barely walk. Overall opinions of the show…. It was almost too crowded to enjoy. While there was a broad selection of goods, prices were high and our local Ft Worth show has much of the same selection. I will say if you are in the market for a C**t 1911 this is the show to go to. The food selection was better than the avg gun show but lines were long and there was hardly anywhere to sit. All in all, I don’t feel that it merits an annual visit but at least we can say we’ve been (and we got the t-shirt).

Our first firearm highlight is a Kahr CW380. In my opinion this is the smallest, reliable defensive carry pistol on the market. This little guy will easily slide into a pocket for deep concealment and can be carried in almost any situation without printing or being a burden. This one is from our inventory and has hardly been carried or fired and is available to go home today! Estimated sales pricing is $300 with free local FFL transfer.
