Andrew Huffman #53 - RHP

Do you have a baseball superstition: I pray before every time I pitch

Favorite baseball memory: Pitching a complete game with 11 strikeouts in the championship for my select team.

Favorite homeschool memory: Winning a national championship for our division in THESA basketball.

Favorite MLB player: Adrian Beltre. I grew up watching him and loved the way he played. He helped me fall in love with the sport.

Favorite quote/life motto: “Why should we be humble? Because God is awesome, and I am nothing”

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Play guitar, cook, and hang out with my friends

What are your plans for next year? I’m headed to DBU to study business management. Go Pats!!

What awards or recognition have you received? I’ve gotten JV red and JV black pitcher of the year, and defensive player of the year and the character award for THESA basketball.

Name one or more interesting facts about yourself: I’ve been to all 50 states.

Do you have any advice for your younger teammates? Don’t forget the reason you’re able to do this. Every rep, every practice and every game, remember that God gave you this sport and it, like everything, is for His glory.

Favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 40:28-29 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Nicholas Crews #15 - Right field, Pitcher

Do you have a baseball superstition? no stepping on lines, I have to tap the plate when stepping into the box, I have to have my sliding mitt in my back right pocket for good luck

Favorite baseball memory: Beating Northside last year in Florida

Favorite homeschool memory: We used to go to a homeschool family camp every summer in the mountains of California

Favorite MLB player and why: Manny Machado because I've grown up a Padres fan my whole life

Favorite Quote/Life motto: "All for His Glory"

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? hang out with friends, watch movies

What are your plans for next year? Go to TCC and major in Business

What awards or recognition have you received? Comeback player of the Year

Name one or more interesting facts about yourself: I was on the team that won a waffle ball tournament at the World Baseball Classic in 2017, where me and my brother played on the USA wiffleball team against other countries

Do you have any advice for your younger teammates? Make the most of the time you have playing high school baseball. It goes by really fast.

Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 51:10 - "create in me a clean heart, O God, renew a right spirit within me."
