We were lucky enough to be able to meet her and do some private lessons with her! We got to talk about predatory chasing, some loose leash walking manners, and ways to build enrichment in the home along with going out into public!

She is a wonderful pup from the Morton Hoarding case! Annabelle is a wonderful gentle soul who needs to be the only pup in her home! She is still working on building confidence in new places and new environments but she warms up to people so quickly.

She is such a joy to be around! She will be adoptable soon so keep an eye out!

This kong has lasted Bonnie an hour in the yard and she’s still going strong! Gotta love our toys!!

In March, Blue came to me for a board and train after struggling in several previous environments and truly needing dedicated, one-on-one support. What started as a one-month board and train turned into a much bigger journey—one that involved patience, consistency, and collaboration with an amazing veterinary behavioralist to find the right medication to help manage his pain and behavior.

This dog is a perfect example of what can happen when a community comes together. After 10 months of work, learning, and advocacy… Blue has officially found his perfect forever home. 🏡✨

I am beyond grateful to have been a small part of his story and so incredibly proud of everyone who helped him get here. Watching him leave for his new life was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why this work matters.

Blue, you are so deeply loved, and your future is bright. Thank you to everyone who believed in him and never gave up. This is what rescue, teamwork, and compassion can do.

I’m currently working on a Be a Tree dog bite prevention workshop designed specifically for children, and I’d love to get it out into the community!

This presentation helps kids learn how to safely interact with dogs, understand basic dog body language, and know what to do in different situations — all in a fun, age-appropriate way.

📍 Location: 4755 Lancaster Drive NE, Salem, OR 97302
🕒 Full-Time/ part-time opportunities

Responsibilities

✨ Supervise and monitor dogs during play to ensure safety and positive interactions
✨ Engage dogs in fun, enriching, and safe playtime activities
✨ Maintain a clean, sanitary environment throughout the facility
✨ Provide feedings and fresh water as needed
✨ Assist with client check-in and check-out
✨ Communicate with pet parents about their dog’s day, behavior, and any special notes
✨ Follow established daycare procedures and uphold our Fear Free and force-free standards of care

Requirements

🐾 2 years experience working with dogs (preferred but not required)
🐾 Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
🐾 Pet CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)
🐾 Alignment with force-free, positive reinforcement, and Fear Free handling methods — no aversive tools or methods are used or permitted
🐾 Excellent communication and teamwork skills
🐾 Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
🐾 Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

We are heartbroken to share that this year’s Dog Fair will be canceled. We recently lost a very important dog, and our entire team is deeply shaken by this loss. We need to take some time to grieve and recover before we can give the community event the energy and love it deserves.

I’m so proud of Bonnie and Clyde! Their appointment at Ark this past Wednesday brought some incredible breakthroughs. Knowing they’re getting the care and support they need makes my heart so full. We made some big discoveries with Bonnie and are looking forward to seeing if treatments can help her with some of her struggles. Im so blessed to be able to watch these two continue to grow and thrive as they get ready for forever homes! 💛🐾
