We’re thrilled to announce the 2026 Region 11 Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Ricky Stephens of Keene ISD!

Since becoming superintendent in 2013, Dr. Stephens has led Keene ISD with vision, courage, and a deep commitment to students as “makers of learning.” Through initiatives such as the districtwide House System, the Keene 22 soft skills framework, and IGNITE, he has helped create a culture rooted in creativity, belonging, and real-world readiness.

The Keene ISD Board of Trustees shared that Dr. Stephens “does not just manage a school district; he inspires a community.”
