This second-generation MINI John Cooper Works Clubman received a newer engine, N14 with N18 block, that had a revision for a part that this model year did not use. 🔧

From the factory, they installed a rubber plug above the oil pan for a sensor that this generation didn’t have. Over time, that plug would develop an oil leak.

We addressed a key detail: the N18 uses an oil control solenoid for the oil pump, which requires a harness that passes through the block. We removed the faulty rubber plug and replaced it with a metal freeze plug that more permanently resolves the issue, resulting in a leak-free solution.
