Great experience in Stockholm at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences working with neurorehabilitation physiotherapists focused on exercise testing and exercise prescription.

The course included lectures and hands-on training including our TBRS Submaximal Exercise Test, with discussion centered on practical clinical implementation and advancing exercise-based stroke rehabilitation.

Always exciting to share the work of the Lab internationally and collaborate with clinicians dedicated to improving stroke recovery and brain health through exercise.

I was honored to be featured in Episode 7 of Choices: Hope & Science—a series focused on how research is changing lives. Starting at minute 15 of the video, Dr. Miller, Dr. Abraham and I discuss stroke recovery and the power of science to unlock new paths forward.

Through innovation, rigorous research, and the strength of those affected, we’re rewriting that narrative. We - The University of Kansas Health System - are the first in the region and metro to offer vagal nerve stimulation implant. We’ve partnered w/ therapy clinics who provide the intensive rehab!
