On the final day of TTA's summer program, Pawsperity came to visit and our students LOVED it. They learned about careers in pet grooming, heard about all the support Pawsperity offers, and made bandanas for the dogs Pawsperity grooms in the community.

Simple project. Big impact. And big smiles all around.

Thank you Pawsperity for closing out our summer program in the best way possible and showing our students that there are people and programs out there built to help them succeed. ๐Ÿถ

How do we help high schoolers with developmental disabilities transition into the workforce? ๐Ÿงฉ๐Ÿ’ผ

It all starts with building an Employment Vision centered on their strengths, hobbies, and absolute "yeses"!

In our recent summer workshop for parents, Abbie and Carrie from Easterseals Midwest dive deep into how families can support transition-age youth as they take their next steps toward independence. The best part? You don't have to wait for graduation to start. You can build transferable job skills right at home!

๐Ÿงบ Laundry & Cooking = Multi-step directions & time management.
๐Ÿ“ž Ordering food or making phone calls = Communication & confidence.
๐Ÿถ Taking care of pets = Workplace responsibility and dependability.

Stop worrying about the barriers, and let's start unlocking their potential. Check out the full presentation on our YouTube channel! ๐Ÿ“บ
