The human body holds on to any unresolved emotions or traumas we experience until we have the time and capacity to carefully work through them in a secure manner.

Our body and nervous system attempt to protect us from anything that might be too overwhelming or frightening, teaching us to feel safe in what is, rather than allowing and pushing ourselves to release the emotions and heal. The body can release these stored energies/emotions and process them as we build more capacity.

Our ability to heal from traumas can only match our current readiness and capacity.

Did you know your emotions are stored in your body?

Every emotion you feel—whether it’s joy, fear, or sadness—is processed by your nervous system as a signal of either safety or survival. When you’re calm, your nervous system processes emotions fully, allowing them to flow through you. But when you’re overwhelmed, scared, or unable to address what you’re feeling, your body might hold onto those emotions, tucking them away as unresolved energy.

Think about it: have you ever noticed tension in your shoulders after a stressful day? Or a knot in your stomach before a big event? These aren’t just “physical reactions”—they’re your body holding onto emotional experiences. The nervous system and your physical form work together to store emotions, especially when the mind can’t fully process or release them at the moment.

When these emotions stay stuck, they don’t just disappear. Instead, they influence how you feel and react over time. They can show up as patterns of chronic tension, pain, anxiety, or even overreactions to small triggers. Your body becomes a living archive of your emotional history.

So how do you heal?
It starts with creating a sense of safety for your nervous system—a place where your body feels calm and supported. Next, bring awareness to what you’re holding inside: Is there tension in your chest? A heaviness in your hips? Notice where emotions feel stuck. Finally, use gentle tools like deep breathing, mindful movement, or somatic practices to help your body release what it’s been holding onto.

Healing isn’t about forcing anything; it’s about listening to your body and allowing it to guide you toward release. Your body remembers, but it can also let go. 🌿

Our bodies hold on to unresolved trauma or unprocessed emotions until we have the capacity and feel secure enough to move through them and recover safely.

The body’s nervous system attempts to protect us from what might be too frightening or overwhelming to face, which at times, may manifest physically in our bodies.

Healing from traumas has to match our current readiness. Emotional ‘releases’ or processing traumas can never be forced. Releases and healing occur when we have internal and external resources available to us.

When we experience safety, stability, tolerance, and are mentally ready, our body can release the stored negative energy and emotions and move forward to healing.

The mind-body connection is clear!

Experience how Raindrop sessions encourage the connection of internal and external resources and allow our bodies to release and recover.

Why is this service called the Raindrop Technique?

Specific essential oils are used on a client's bare back. Oils are dropped up the client's spine, holding the bottles approximately six to eight inches above the back, which feels like raindrops falling, hence the name Raindrop. 💧

As these oils pass through the client's electromagnetic field, the positive properties of the oils are enhanced, giving the greatest benefit!
