🐶🏠🐱 Bringing home a new pet is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming for both you and the animal. Here are some tips to help your new friend adjust to their home:

🐾 Give them space: Just like humans, pets need some time to get used to their new surroundings. Create a designated space for your pet to relax and feel safe in, like a cozy bed or crate. Don't invite new people or pets over to see your new pet - give them at least two weeks to adjust!

🐾 Be patient: Remember that it may take some time for your pet to fully adjust to their new home. It's common for animals to take at least 3 days to feel safe, 3 weeks to settle into the new routine, and 3 months to fully integrate into a household.

🐾 Make sure your containment is safe: Keep new pets on an escape proof collar, like a martingale, or escape proof harness, while outside - even inside a fence! It can take weeks to find out if your pet is a bolter, digger, or chewer. This applies to inside, too - make sure any crates or rooms are escape proof and pet-proofed!

🐾 Consult with a professional: If your new dog is showing signs of anxiety, fear, or aggression, don't hesitate to consult with a professional dog trainer. They can help you create a customized plan to help your dog feel more comfortable and confident in their new home.

As of right now it looks like this will be our last season. We are trying our best to get outside investors or more traction on our GoFundMe. Our current best option is still the fundraising campaign. We are at $15,000 out of $300,000.
