Job Description: Machinist Trainee/ Entry Level Machinist
Reports to: Machine Shop Lead

Profile: Keeps entire shop safe, clean and organized. Machines parts using mills and/or lathes following engineering drawings and verbal instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance.
• Shop safety, cleanliness and organization.
• Operates manual and CNC mills and lathes.
• Works under direct supervision.
• Deburr's finished jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Ability to learn and maintain a quality environment and attitude. Mechanical aptitude or machining background. Good math skills. Ability to learn to read blueprints or engineering drawings. Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of all equipment and gauging.
