Learning by doing! ๐
Here at Loon Lake 4-H Camp we hosted a collaborative hands-on presentation by Flathead County Extension and Flathead Conservation District through the FVCCโs Continuing Education program. Participants learned so much from so many wonderful guest speakers! From specific loon calls to tree diseases, they became equipped to be better stewards of their lands. Featured topics included Landowner Fire Preparedness, Living in the Forest, Living by Water, Living with Wildlife, Soil and Pasture Health, and Noxious W**d Identification.
We were so happy to be able to invite members of the Flathead community to learn and take home resources from these great organizations. Thank you for coming to our camp! We hope to see you again soon! ๐ช๐๐ค

Progress continues on the Loon Lake 4-H Camp Pavilion Project!
To date, $50,375 has been raised toward our $150,000 goal, including $15,000 in seed funding from the Flathead 4-H Foundation and $35,375 contributed by early supporters.
We want to say a sincere thank you to those who have stepped in early to help move this project forward... H2 Orthodontics joins the campaign as a Hands Builder and Missoula County 4-H who contributed a Health Builder level gift on behalf of their youth who join us at camp every summer!
The new pavilion will give 4-H youth from across NW Montana a covered outdoor space for workshops, evening programs, dances and and other fun camp activities, even when the weather doesnโt cooperate!
This pavilion is being built the same way camp itself was built, through a community effort. Local businesses, volunteers, families, and friends of 4-H all contributing in ways that make sense for them.
There is still work to do, and there is room for others to be part of it. If youโve been considering a gift or sponsorship, now is a great time to step in!
Every contribution helps create a space that will serve 4-H youth for years to come! ๐
