A common challenge we face as a summer college baseball team (in comparison to MiLB teams) is player housing.

Our host families open their homes to Growlers players (18-22 years old) for 12+ weeks.

Some families are willing to take on a player(s) but don't have a spare bed for the player to use.

So we work with BoxDrop Kalamazoo to get mattresses for these host families and players.

They keep the mattress year-round and host a player during the summer. Some players are on temporary contracts so a host family could end up with 3 or 4 different players over that span of 12 weeks.

We're thankful for the host families opening their homes and BoxDrop for making the player experience more enjoyable in Kalamazoo 🙌
