Ever wonder why it's called a firehouse?
Because for our firefighters, it truly is a home away from home.
Our station serves as the hub of our emergency operations, but it's also where firefighters spend a significant portion of their lives. It's where crews share meals, spend time with their work family, train together, and prepare for whatever emergency comes next. While the calls may take them throughout the township, the firehouse is where they return between emergencies and where readiness begins.
In this video, we'll take a closer look at our fire station, the maintenance and improvements needed to keep it functional, safe, and efficient, and the role it plays in supporting the emergency services our community depends on every day.

Last Monday, our firefighters put their skills to the test during a hands-on hoseline advancement drill designed to simulate the challenges encountered on the fireground.
Crews worked through a maze of obstacles while advancing charged hoselines, practicing communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a controlled but realistic environment. These evolutions help build the muscle memory and confidence needed to operate effectively when conditions are difficult and visibility is limited.
Emergencies don't happen in ideal conditions. That's why training remains one of the most important investments we make in our personnel. Every drill reinforces the skills firefighters rely on to protect lives and property throughout our community.
The more we train, the better prepared we are when our residents need us most.
