The National Weather Service (NWS) Honolulu has issued a High Surf Advisory for south-facing shores of all Hawaiian islands through 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21.

Surf of 7 to 10 feet is expected. Strong breaking waves and strong currents may make swimming dangerous.

A moderate, long-period south swell is expected to remain at advisory levels through Tuesday afternoon before beginning to fade Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Beachgoers, swimmers and ocean users are urged to use caution and follow the guidance of ocean safety officials.
