“I don’t have anywhere to shoot”

One of the thoughts that come up fairly often is the notion that we don’t have anywhere to shoot or where we have is too boring. I myself am guilty of this.

Reality is that anywhere, no matter how ordinary it may seem can be interesting with the right bit of framing. I don’t simply mean composition but how you look and decide to capture what’s around you.

In the case of this small set I decided to take a vintage lens I had adapted to my R6 and capture the trail behind my place. The lens itself shapes an interesting look and me focusing on the greenery gave me colour. Sure these aren’t world stopping images, but they never needed to be. They document not just a nice day walking but my experimentation and that’s interesting.

Next time you are out, pick a color, or see how you can frame what’s around you differently, what’s been boring to you can be interesting to someone else. All it takes is a little perspective and creativity 👌🏾

Just the essentials 👌🏾

For me, the simpler the kit can be the better. Naturally it doesn’t always work out that way but it’s always nice getting back to the essentials.

Right now that’s looking like my R6 on a red camera strap from and this dope Archivist bag from . Pair that up with a notebook and some chucks and we are good to go 🤙🏾

What’s your daily setup look like? What’s the kit you try to always have on you. Would love some ideas

Life works in mysterious ways

Somehow the universe decided that a legally blind guy, born with X-linked juvenile Retinoschisis would pick up a camera and fall in love with the art of photography. A craft I never really had an interest in.

Through that very craft it would come to be where I’d find two things I’d been missing. Those being self expression, and an acceptance of myself and my identity. Things I’ve struggled with greatly.

Now I can only hope that through my work I can move others to express themselves through photography and offer an escape to others into my vision of the world through my art and perspective.

Again, life truly works in mysterious ways. You can find a nice quote on how to view chasing your passion on the last frame

Cheers everyone. Hope this little moment of self reflective thought finds you well.

Wanderers of the Glades

Exploring raw Florida scenes and chasing light with just to feel something again.

I still remember the light and the way it just wrapped wherever we went. It gave everywhere we looked a bit of that “sauce” that just took it over the edge.

These photos came from a need to get out and just wander. Not just with our own two legs but with our creativity and vision. In that quiet path less traveled bathed in light, we grabbed a bit of inspiration and sent it.

Get out there and make something that gets you stoked to make more things. Come back and thank me later haha
