House calls are coming back. This may mean better care for the elderly. Medicare experiment finds it is sometimes cheaper to send doctors to people’s homes.

Florida HB 325 & HB 423 are currently pending legislation in Tallahassee. The next several weeks will be a critical time for the passage of these important pieces of ground-breaking legislation. Those of us at MyNP, and ARNP's state wide, are greatly in need of your voices right now. Please take a moment to carefully consider these bills and contact your state legislator expressing your support.

The House and Senate will soon be voting on both bills. Our representatives are extremely close to passing these bills into law, but still need the additional public support for both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to have greater autonomy to practice in the State of Florida.

Florida is THE ONLY remaining state in the country that does not allow Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants any expanded prescriptive authority. In order for ARNP's and PA's to effectively meet the needs of the ever-growing senior population in our state, our privileges and scope of practice must be categorically expanded.
