A Wind Mitigation Inspection, also known as a windstorm inspection, identifies the windstorm protection on a home. It includes the roof, windows and doors and should be completed, regardless of age, on all single-family homes, townhomes, and condos. The report is valid for five years from the date of the inspection and should be updated whenever the homes windstorm protection is updated.
