We had a new whole house 48kw Generac generator installed in January - it wouldn't start up! After 3 weeks of troubleshooting and a new battery Anderson Power Services got it running. Since install it has not worked for a majority of the time. We have had to have battery replaced 2x, transfer switch replaced, EVO controller replaced, charger warning, overload alarm, short between main AC winding and DPE winding, waiting now for an Engine wiring harness!

At what point does "lemon law" kick in on a BRAND NEW generator Generac? We lost power last night for 3 hours and at least 4 other times before that and did not have a working generator we paid a lot of money for to have peace of mind out in the woods when the power goes out. This has been a TERRIBLE experience with Generac and we should not have to keep waiting for parts to be replaced to get a BRAND NEW generator up and running!! I called Generac months ago and was told I needed to go through the dealer that sold it to me. I asked Generac if they had field reps that could come look at it and they said no. Generac needs to stand by their equipment and replace this unit, it is Generac 's equipment that is failing - not the local dealers! Anderson Power Services is being made to go through Generac channels on fixing which is basically replacing everything internal on this BRAND NEW generator! Generac needs to replace this lemon of a generator with a brand new one and start over!
