Spring time brings us visitors from far away places. Obviously I mean these arctic terns; what did you think I meant?

Fish. Pose. Snack. Pose. Care for cubs. Look dramatically into the distance and... Pose. Such is the life of a brown bear.

Who you go with is just as important as where you're trying to get to, glad to have these three to make memories as impactful as the fjords that surround us. Good to have people who watch your back for brown bears, check on you while paddling in glacial waters, and are always willing to share their camping meals with you.

A couple of yearlings stand at a distance from their mother. A boar (male bear) came down the falls and started to approach. Fortunately he was only interested in salmon and after he grabbed a few he moved to the upper side of the waterfall. Allowing the to safely practice their own fishing skills.

A Sow, whom we affectionately nicknamed Muffs, stands at attention while my camera shutter clicks away.
