What an exciting day for Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement!

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we were honored to participate in the Annual Junction City 4th of July Parade. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow rescues, connect with local 4-H groups, and spend time with the CG’s Mounted Color Guard.

Despite the rain and thunderstorms, our amazing horses and dedicated volunteers never missed a beat. Their calm, willing attitudes and unwavering spirit made us proud every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the parade and support our community. We are grateful to be part of such a special tradition.

Today was another wonderful day of adoptions here at Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue & Retirement!

👀 Double Take… Is That a Buckskin Welsh Pony?! 👀

You bet it is! Meet Willow, our absolutely adorable buckskin Welsh pony gelding who is sure to steal your heart.

This charming 17-year-old stands out not only for his good looks, but also for his unique marking—what horse lovers fondly call a “prophet’s thumbprint” on his neck. It’s just one more thing that makes Willow extra special!

Willow may be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—he truly enjoys getting to know his people and blossoms with patience and kindness. He was originally found by a caring couple who, due to circumstances beyond their control, made the difficult decision to bring him to Rainbow Meadows so he could find his perfect forever family.

He is saddle trained and currently brushing up his skills with a refresher under saddle. With his striking appearance and gentle nature, Willow is truly an eye-catcher both in and out of the pasture.
