I teamed up with our local fire department to promote lithium-ion battery safety — this year’s fire prevention theme! I was proud to donate fire safety education kits, which the department will be handing out to help teach kids about staying safe.

The Junction City, KS Animal Shelter has no vacancy.

After receiving 9 stray dogs today when none of ours can leave due to our Kennel Cough situation, we now cannot take stray dogs in.

This is ABSOLUTELY avoidable and unfortunate that we have to make this tough decision.

It isn’t that we need crates donated, we have also run out of floor room to put crates to fit them. There is NO room.

This continuing at this pace is going to put our animal shelter in a difficult place with what decisions to make. Please keep your pets, please fix your pets, and please make sure your pets are HOME!

*If you find a stray during this time, please message us a photo and location found, but you will have to rely on your friends/neighbors to hold temporarily. If there is a dangerous animal, injured animal, etc. still contact us or JCPD to get it handled!
