3 hair habits that are silently ruining your hair
1. Aggressively brushing your hair
More brushing does NOT equal healthier hair.
Pulling through tangles or brushing too aggressively can create micro-damage to the hair shaft, increase breakage, and put unnecessary tension on the follicle. Be gentle and work from the ends up.
2. Air-drying your hair every wash day
This one surprises people. Hair is most fragile when it's wet, and leaving your hair damp for hours can increase swelling of the hair shaft and make it more prone to damage. At minimum, dry your roots and scalp after washing, and always use a heat protectant if you're blow-drying.
3. Wearing your hair up every single day
Constant buns, ponytails, and claw clips in the same spot create repeated tension and friction. Over time, this can lead to breakage, thinning around the hairline, and shorter pieces that never seem to grow.
