May the Fourth be with us & another project in the books to start the year. This client wanted to redesign a backyard space overrun with vines and weedy plants in precious real estate. We had a smaller budget and made a huge impact of the area building a beautiful hügelkultur raised bed pollinator garden. Clearing the site, then doing a sheet mulching technique to suppress the vegetation from below and using some home-grown compost from the bins onsite. The bees and bugs were buzzing after these perennial pollinator plants were getting watered in. It was a glorious day in the dirt, making spaces beautiful for the world.
