Been working on a few more storyboard illustrations for my next book and I gotta say its been a challenge, trying to sketch out what's in my head and then having different ideas float in and out (or sometimes not at all).
But then I remind myself (sometimes multiple times in one day) that something like this shouldn't be rushed or pushed when I have no inspiration. I know my next book will be a work of art and I hope you all will enjoy the journey with me 💙

Looking to attract chickadees (and other birds of course) to your yard, then check out the common feeder bird page on the Project FeederWatch website.
Common Feeder Birds - FeederWatch We’ve put together a list of almost 100 common feeder birds and cross referenced what they like to eat and where they like to eat it. Explore your region to see what you might be able to attract to your feeder this winter!

After five years, I have finally completed my nature journal. I started this journal in the spring of 2020 to help me stay connected and grounded during the pandemic, and now here we are in 2025.
Looking back through my entries, memories flooded back of all my adventures. I can also see myself grow as an artist, getting braver with trying new techniques.
To those who are hesitant on starting a nature journal, please do it, you will learn so much about the natural world and about yourself. At the end when it's filled you will have a keepsake of your nature observations and of your memories 💙.
Looking forward to starting my next nature journal 🐦

A couple of journal pages that depict the start of my Wild Wonder Stewardship project. My goal with this stewardship project is to show how you can still contribute to conservation all while balancing a busy work schedule, along with having mental and physical health challenges.
This also gives me a chance to experiment with watercolors and other art mediums, perhaps I will get ideas for illustrating my next children's book 🤔

This past weekend I participated in my Nature Journaling Educator Workshop practicum. Essentially an 8 hour virtual event where I got to discuss nature journaling with fellow nature nerds across the world 🌎.
Needless to say it was a lot of fun, and I left inspired to start the next part of the workshop program...working on a 6 month stewardship project of my creation.
Only question now is what to do 🤔, the possibilities are endless.

Earth Day Loudoun was a success, despite the rain had a lot of people come out for the event and had a lot of kids and parents make a nature journal 🐦. Thanks again to the staff at Hal & Berni Hanson Nature Center for having me be part of the event.

Participated in another STEM Night at St.Martin of Tours Catholic School. Had a wonderful time meeting students and staff. Best part, I ran out of nature journals by the end of the night 🐦.
