We’ll be joined by Jersey City Director of Forestry Michael DiCiancia to discuss urban tree canopy, where opportunities may exist for improvements and to answer your questions.

We’ll then switch gears and discuss the latest developments regarding the budget with Ward C Councilman Ward C Councilman Tom Zuppa

Thank you to New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance BAPC and The Barrow Mansion for hosting the screening of The Sacrifice Zone and community discussion on the proposed Van Keuren Waste Facility.

The event brought together residents, elected officials advocates, and community leaders to learn more about the proposal and discuss its potential impacts on Jersey City. Shoutouts to Councilperson Eleana Little and Commissioner Yraida Aponte-Lipski for participating!

JSQCA remains strongly opposed to the proposed facility and believes residents deserve a meaningful voice in decisions that could affect the health, quality of life, and future of our community.
