⚾️🏟️🇺🇸Three JIA students recently had the incredible opportunity to join Kindergarten/1st Grade teacher Mrs. Faasse’s nonprofit organization, Opera for ALL, in singing the national anthem at a Detroit Tigers game. Mrs. Faasse and Opera for ALL have been invited to perform the national anthem for the past five seasons, and this year, these JIA students asked if they could join in the experience.
Together with their families, John, Odyn, and Will traveled to Detroit and became part of a 53-member choir that performed at Comerica Park before the Tigers took on the New York Yankees. The students had the chance to share their voices on a major league stage while creating memories that will last a lifetime (and the Tigers beat the Yankees, too).
This was a special opportunity to celebrate student confidence, creativity, and community beyond the classroom. We are so proud of John, Odyn, Will, and Mrs. Faasse for sharing their voices and representing JIA in such a meaningful way! 🐾✨🎶

Numbers can tell an impressive story, but even more meaningful is the dedication, perseverance, and growth behind each one.
The Jenison Innovation Academy Class of 2026 has continued to demonstrate what’s possible through personalized learning, flexibility, and a commitment to pursuing opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. From earning college credits and industry experience to achieving academic honors and preparing for future careers, this graduating class has left a lasting mark on the greater JIA community.
JIA is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates and the many different paths they are preparing to pursue next.
We are excited to watch you walk across the stage at tomorrow's Commencement ceremony. Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning!

JIA is incredibly proud to celebrate Jacob, Whyatt, and Betsy for the dedication, work ethic, and commitment they’ve shown through their experiences at the West Michigan Construction Institute.
Their willingness to challenge themselves, pursue hands-on learning opportunities, and build real-world skills is such a great example of the passion and perseverance we love seeing from our students. We’re excited to see all that’s ahead for each of them and grateful to celebrate this well-deserved recognition alongside the students from Jenison High School.
Way to go, Jacob, Whyatt, and Betsy! 👏👏👏
