Hey everyone,

So here is the update for shirts. If you live locally and would like to pick up your shirts, Katelyn will be at the Old Haws Run Station at 932 Haws Run Road on Tuesday around 5pm. You can stop by and pay/pickup your shirts. If you have requested a shirt(s) and live out of county or state, we should have already messaged you directly for your address. On the 1st of May we will be going to postal annex with all out of county orders to obtain an exact amount for shipping each order. We will have to use pay pal for payment for the shirts and Katelyn will be handling that aspect of collecting the funds. We will message you the total amount and if you are in the initial order (once we obtain payment and shipping costs for the shirts) we will ship them by the 5th of May. If you are on the second order we will message you when the shirts arrive, and will ship the order once we have obtained payment for shipping and the shirts. As you may have noticed our name has changed. For those that don’t know we have stopped responding to EMS and Rescue calls within Onslow County. However we are in the process of transitioning our new building located next to Haws Run Fire Department into a community building for those who live in the Haws Run district. We will keep you updated on how that is progressing. So what does that mean for you? We have had a lot of questions lately about how that will affect people within the Haws Run district.

1. You will receive help if you call 911. Onslow County EMS is still providing 911 response and you will have a unit sent to you for any medical or traumatic injuries.

2. Fire departments have been/are now performing the rescue services that our department previously provided.

3. The reason we did not merge with a surrounding fire department. This was not from lack of trying. We did speak with surrounding fire departments and they were unable to take on all aspects of our department.

4. What are we doing with our EMS/Rescue equipment? We are giving away items that we purchased on grants to those who are in need of the equipment. For items that were not purchased on grants we are selling off to other departments.

Also we have T SHIRTS for sale!!!!! Please see the attached pictures The shirts have been ordered and they are on their way. If you are interested in purchasing a t shirt or a few t shirts please let me know. I have sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. We are charging $15 per shirt. I only have so many shirts for each size so if we need more, we will order them later. The order is slotted to arrive on April 22nd. Please message us the size shirts that you would like and a good phone number. We can meet with you to collect the money for shirts. Please let us know if you want some.
