🎉🐢 Happy Birthday, Tonca Truck! 🐢🎉
Jacksonville’s favorite alligator snapping turtle turns 59 today, and while MOSH canceled his birthday party, the SaveMOSH team is throwing one anyway.

Tonca, we know you just want to hang out under your bridge, eat fish, and set a new record for holding your breath underwater, but now MOSH Execs are trying to rehome you?? 👀

We’re fighting to keep MOSH open and keep Tonca in the only home he’s known for the last 30 years.

This isn’t just about buildings, it’s about legacy, community, and 200+ pounds of prehistoric excellence.

💚 Sign the petition. Save the museum. Save Tonca.

We're so grateful to First Coast News for helping amplify our campaign to keep MOSH open!

The Southbank closure isn’t just a pause, it’s a minimum three-year loss of access to science, history, and hands-on education for Jacksonville families.

Over 1,000 people have already signed our petition to show this matters. We’re fighting for a solution that puts community first, and we’re not done yet!

🚨 We made the news! 🚨

Thank you to for featuring our campaign to keep MOSH open, and to Councilmember Joe Carlucci for seeing and believing in our vision!

Our founder, Himaschi, may be just 15, but this fight is for everyone in Jacksonville who grew up walking through MOSH’s doors, and for all those who stand to lose access to this beloved museum because of a board decision that doesn’t reflect the community’s needs.

This campaign is not over. We believe in the promise of a new museum, but we refuse to let Jacksonville lose years of science, education, and community in the meantime.

The community is speaking. We’re not backing down.

MOSH is set to close on September 1st, but it’s not too late to stop it.

Jacksonville can’t afford to lose its only science and history museum. There’s no clear plan for community access during the closure, and the future of the space is uncertain.
