Stay safe out there! Grateful to all the crews working around the clock to restore power and clear debris. Rockwell Racing will be back after the Fair break!

Races Tonight June 30th Are Canceled.

Multiple factors at play. First it's still way too wet on the race track following being flooded yesterday. We expected it to dry quicker but the humidity isn't helping that cause. It would be mid afternoon before we could even get on it.

Second, there's still a chance of rain today and even one more drop would kill us. Cars are coming from a good distance tonight.

Finally, a majority of Jacksonville and surrounding areas are soon going on their 24th straight hour without power and still cleaning up from major debris. As of this morning you cant even drive up Westgate to the race track due to street closure. There are more important things for this town to focus on at the moment than cars going in circles. It's just not the right thing to do to shift the focus and try to convince people that their best use of time is being at a race track tonight. Heck, even last night as we were testing our new lights, while the apartments across the street were without power made us fell like we were showing off!

Everyone take care of yourselves. Help your neighbor. We will be back after the fair when life around here returns to being a little more normal.
