IT MATTERS. It G EN U I N E L Y matters and is impactful who is in your birth space. It matters the energy that you receive in labor. It matters if someone is causing you stress. It matters when you feel defeated or discouraged. It matters who is there to calm you down and keep you grounded. It matters when you receive what you need. It matters when you don’t.
Just about every hospital birth I attend, I add to my list of “wow what a really sh*tty thing to say as a professional.” I am constantly gasted of my flabbers by how intentional or senseless these are.
I don’t find that to be acceptable care. I don’t think that’s CARING for a “patient” at all. Do better. 🫶 😘
