Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there — human, foster, adoptive, and feline. 💜

Today we’re especially thinking about the mama cats who do everything they can to protect their babies, even in the hardest situations. So many of the kittens we rescue are here because a mother cat fought to keep them alive long enough for help to arrive.

We also want to celebrate the incredible women in rescue, fostering, transport, vet med, TNR, and adoption work who spend countless hours caring for animals in need. This work can be exhausting, emotional, and overwhelming — but the love behind it is endless.

And to everyone who has ever bottle-fed a newborn kitten, stayed up through the night monitoring a sick baby, opened your home to fosters, donated to help a mama cat and her kittens, or adopted and loved a rescue kitty like family… thank you.

You are part of their story.

🐾 Kitten Adoption Expectations 🐾

We know kittens are exciting—and we love that so many people are eager to give them homes. But we need to set some clear expectations:

Kittens are NOT available for adoption until at least 8 weeks old. 🚫

Those early weeks are critical. Kittens need time with their siblings and/or their mother to learn social skills, build confidence, and grow properly. Separating them too early can lead to long-term behavioral and health issues.

When we take in very young kittens, they still have a long journey ahead before they’re ready for adoption.

A few important things to know:
• We do not take deposits or “hold” kittens
• It is not first-come, first-served
• Everyone must go through our full adoption process
• This includes an application, home check, and public records check

We are very intentional about where our kittens go. Our goal is the right home—not the fastest placement.

We promise—when they’re ready, we’ll share them. 💜 Until then, please be patient and trust the process. We’re doing what’s best for them. Always. 🐾
