One of our favorite teas to brew in the office is hibiscus tea. 🌺
Hibiscus has that beautiful deep ruby color and a tart, refreshing flavor — and it is naturally caffeine-free. We love brewing it strong with filtered hot water, letting it steep until it becomes rich and vibrant, then serving it warm or chilled over ice.
Hibiscus tea is known for its cardiovascular-supporting benefits. It may help support healthy blood pressure, healthy circulation, antioxidant protection, and overall heart and vascular wellness. It is also rich in plant compounds like anthocyanins, which give hibiscus its gorgeous red color and help fight oxidative stress in the body.
This is a wonderful tea for many people, especially when trying to create healthier daily habits instead of reaching for sugary drinks, alcohol, or afternoon caffeine.
A gentle reminder: hibiscus may naturally lower blood pressure, so it may not be appropriate for people who already have low blood pressure or who are taking blood pressure medication, diuretics, or certain medications without checking with their provider first. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also ask their provider before using hibiscus regularly.
