There is a great complexity to life. On a day like today, there is both joy and grief, gratitude and longing. For all who have borne the burden and joy of motherhood, in all its different forms...for all who are hopeful in the difficulty of longing for motherhood...for all who have grieved the loss of a child who's left us too soon...we honor you today. We also grieve with those of you who have lost your sweet mother. Life is complex, and yet this is still an incredibly beautiful day. After all, we wouldn't be here without our mothers.
