i have really not been looking forward to ending my 20s to be honest, but this last year has really chewed me up and spit me out into a better version of myself (i hope).

moving to Jackson has been such a fresh start for me and i feel so happy and so supported here. losing Chick broke me to my core, and has probably been the hardest thing i have ever experienced, but i am so thankful for everyone who has been here with me through it all.

these photos and videos are some of my favorite memories and moments from the last year. thank you to everyone who has been a part of it all 🤍

i am so thankful for all my friends, my experiences, mamma earth, and everything in between.

here’s to the last year of my 20’s, let’s run it back

Chickadee… I really didn’t think this day would come so soon. Almost 18 years together was not near enough. You touched so many people’s lives in your time. You were so special, you taught me and others so so much, you were so many people’s first ever rides, first ever horse interaction, you loved going for an unexpected swim, and loved rolling in the dirt immediately after i had given you a bath to try and get you pretty. You and I did so much together. I drove you across the country multiple times, we moved all around the Salt Lake valley, to Idaho, to Wyoming. We traveled many miles on the trail, we worked cows, we rode completely tackless all the time, you taught Chief what it means to be a saddle horse, you taught children, you were always providing some sort of life lesson every time I interacted with you. You were my first horse, the one that pi**ed me off to no end, but also taught me more than anyone could have. We learned so much and have grown so much together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion for most of my life.

This loss has hurt me so much and has been so unexpected. Please forgive me for not being a human for the foreseeable future…
