Sutter Amador Hospital

Access to care just got closer for Amador County.

We recently joined Amador County California Behavioral Health Department and local partners to celebrate the launch of the Aegis Mobile Medication Unit, a new resource bringing opioid use disorder treatment directly into the community.

When the county’s only outpatient opioid use disorder treatment provider closed in 2024 and patients were left traveling up to 45 minutes for care, Sutter led a countywide Opioid Coalition to bring partners together and rebuild a pathway to treatment.

That collaboration led to the Aegis Mobile Medication Unit, now offering opioid use disorder treatment just minutes from Sutter Amador Hospital.

📍 The Aegis Mobile Medication Unit is located at 10877 Conductor Blvd in Sutter Creek and offers treatment five days a week.

For years, has worked with Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County to send discharged patients home with a bag of healthy groceries. This ongoing collaboration reflects the same community spirit that drives the Feeding Amador County Together (FACT) campaign.
