The natural gas outage is definitely inconvenient for all of us at home, but it’s also really tough on our local restaurants and their staff. When they can’t cook, many of them simply can’t open their doors — and that means lost income not just for the business, but for the employees who depend on those shifts.

Jackson has always been the kind of community that shows up for its local businesses.

So if you’re out and about the next few days, consider:
• Buying a gift card
• Grabbing a drink or dessert if they’re open
• Ordering items that don’t require cooking
• Simply stopping in to show support

Even small things can make a big difference during an unexpected situation like this.

Our restaurants are a big part of what makes Jackson special, and we know our community will rally around them like we always do.
