Over the years, the John George Jr. Student Loan Fund has supported thousands of Jackson County students as they pursued their eduction. The fund has loaned more than $50 million to local students at a very low interest rate.

The maximum amount for low-interest student loans is $7,500 per year with a maximum total loan amount of $30,000.

Who is eligible for a low-interest student loan from the John George Jr. Student Loan Fund?
The requirements are quite simple. Applicants must:
• Be graduating from or have graduated from a high school located in Jackson County or be a resident of Jackson County (homeschooled students are eligible).
• Be a full-time college student during the years the applicant borrows from the program.
• Have a cosigner.
